






In the enchanting back yard of a charming 1939 house in Richmond's Bellevue neighborhood is a small but mighty intervention being designed for a couple who is deeply passionate about sunlight and Scandinavian modernism, especially considering that the husband hails from a Danish family. The existing back of the house gracefully gives way to a new gallery hall that smoothly leads to a rear terrace and a thoughtfully planned private primary suite on the first floor, designed with aging-in-place in mind.
Reflecting their desire for a bright and airy atmosphere that harmonizes with their aesthetic preferences,
the client's request was simply yet eloquently stated as "lots-o-light, wood, and white…"
